Our mission? To answer this question:

"Why am I studying this? I am never going to use it." ®

S.T.E.A.M subjects in the concert industry.

Concerts: A Pandora's box of S.T.E.A.M. applications.

Our initial library of videos demonstrates how S.T.E.A.M subjects help us to design, engineer, fabricate, build, transport and finance a concert production.

We hope that this knowledge will inspire you to study S.T.E.A.M. subjects and pursue S.T.E.A.M. careers.

FAQ's

The concert stage: a quick introduction

In order to understand the individual elements of a concert, we need to first take a look at the overall production as a whole.

How are S.t.e.a.m. subjects applied to concerts?

Let's start with Pythagoreans theorem.

For example, let's start with one of the most famous mathematical equations:

 The Pythagorean Theorem.

In this video, we learn the mechanics of how it works and some basic applications.

Once we have this understanding, we can now apply it to real world applications.

real world application #1:

calculating distance for lighting

The Pythagorean Theorem is a useful tool for calculating distance.

Calculating distance can help us determine what type of equipment is needed.

In this case, we need to know the distance from our light to the object we want to light.

The purpose of doing this calculation is to determine the correct lighting fixture to do the job properly.

real world application #2:

calculating distance for rigging.

In this video,  Pythagorean's Theorem is once again used to calculate distance.

However, this method requires some imagination for its application.

The purpose for this calculation is to determine the necessary length of chain, wire rope or other equipment to make sure our production element is placed correctly.

like what you see so far?

The application of The Pythagorean Theorem is just the beginning.

Our videos demonstrate math and science applications ranging from the very simple to the very complex.

This is just the beginning.

More videos are being produced and will be posted in the near future.
